"There's only one path to peace, their extinction."

Hello again all. I was looking at my previous Ultron custom and realised he's really small and after seeing the 9 foot tall version that's going to be in Avengers AoU I thought I'd make a new one that looks a bit more imposing on my shelf.

After looking through my toy graveyard (those deemed unworthy of the shelves) I found an old busted terminator figure that looked just right for Ultron. I started by cutting all the extra parts and limbs off so I was just left with the chest piece and pelvis. I then added Lego hero factory ball joints for the abdomen, shoulders, hips and neck. His legs, feet and upper arms are just hero factory pieces bulked up with milliput and foam pieces. His forearms are made from the left over arms from the terminator with an added hero factory joint and more foam to bulk it up, The arms were originally too long and didn't fit with the body so I cut a section out and stuck the ends back together. His hands are some 1/100 Gundam hands, they were originally connected with small Lego ball joints but friction decided to be stronger than the superglue so I had to reconnect them by adding magnets. His back and shoulder armour are separate pieces constructed from foam and are again connected with magnets. I took a lot of care when making the head because a bit part of Ultron's appearance is his head, get that wrong and he just becomes an ordinary robot. I started with a hero factory head and dremmeled the mouth to resemble an Ultron-esque grin, the rest is built up with foam and styrene. I'm happy with how the head turned out anyway. And lastly he has several wires and tubes running through different parts of his body that don't hinder any of his movement.

As usual he's painted up with citadel paints, I just give him a simple black basecoat then drybrushed the whole thing with silver and painted little details with red and now he's ready to stand on my shelf and loom menacingly behind my Avengers haha. I hope you guys like him, comments and criticism welcome as always. Peace.

I really like this look--very primitive, geometric-shaped mech and not so organic. It looks like the beginnings of something imposing!

Thank you that's what I was going for, a more industrial look as opposed to the sleek clean look he has in the comics
