Ever since the newest wave of Marvel Infinite figures were previewed months ago, I have been looking forward to making this custom. The Superhero Showdown Beast remains the superior Beast body over the new MI body style, but both new figures have much better heads.

This head is from the newly released gray Beast, a figure which reflects Hank McCoy's look in his first appearance as the "furry" Beast in Amazing Adventures #11 (1972). But this is also the head that George Perez drew in a classic Avengers run that included the later blue version of the Beast and his "bromance" with Wonder Man.

For me, this is the quintessential Beast, and I am glad to have him on my shelf. All I can really take credit for is repainting the head and touching up the body.
