I had a bunch of Kenner BTAS Catwoman figures laying around. The problem with that figure is the odd pose. It kind of makes it tough to use for anything. So one night I acquired some inebriated motivation & decided to chop up the figure to reposition the legs. You can see in the WIP pics what I did. Once I figured out that splicing the legs together in a better position would work out. I decided to use some Nightwing arms that I had in my fodder box. Yes Red Claw is a woman but she is definitely not the most feminine character on the show. So I felt she needed to have bulkier arms than the other females in the line. The normal Kenner Nightwing arms seemed too big to me. Luckily I had arms from some scuba Nightwing that were a bit smaller so they were perfect. Then I had to clean up this mess by sculpting over it all & also giving her a neck since Catwoman really didn't have one. Then I had to sculpt her head. Most of the other Timmverse female characters can be considered cute. Red Claw really is not & I tried to capture that look with her. Ive never been a fan of mattel's cheap way they just use the same bucks & paint on the details for their Timmverse toys. When they started releasing that garbage it made me appreciate my Kenner figures even more. So I always try to stick to that technique when making my figures & sculpt on the details like her leg/arm bands & belt. All new paint apps & you can't even tell this was ever a Catwoman figure.
