Here is my newest custom, a Shadow the Hedgehog amiibo! First I removed the figure from the stand, then put the head in a pot of boiling water and made the quills go up as far as they would go. Then I removed Sonic's shoes and replaced them with Shadow's from a 3 inch Shadow figure. And after the paint job and putting him back on his stand you now have a Shadow the Hedgehog amiibo! And yes, he is still compatible with Super Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U.
FINALLY! Someone uses the Jazwares pieces! I suggested this to people a few months back, but this is the first Shadow I've seen that's more than just a repaint! I love it! I can't help but wonder, though. Why did you stop at his shoes? I noticed you didn't use Shadow's gloves or head. Did you just not have any to spare, or is there some other technical problem? I ask because I want to make a Shadow in the future, and have all the fodder necessary, but I'd like to know now if there's something that'll keep me from using those pieces.
At the time when I made this one my Shadow parts where limited. All I had left was Shadow shoes and hands. The shoes where a perfect match, I put the gloves next to the original amiibo hands and they just looked a tiny bit bigger then the original hands. So I just repainted the glove cuffs instead. although I did have a idea to use the hands at one point so yes, the hands and other parts from the Jazwares parts will work with Amiibos for customs.
