Saris is my D&D character I created when i was about 10 years old. Hes an amalgam of the cool fantasy heroes I liked; Conan, Tarzan, Hercules, and Caramon. He wields a sword, axe, and shield all of which have been replaced many times with magic goodies found in the many dungeon crawls our party delved through. He also prefers the protection of an enchanted cloak rather than heavy armor, keeping his movement unrestricted. And it almost goes without saying that he's strong... really strong. He also has a weakness for ale and wenches. Lol Saris was made from a jakks wrestler I found at a flea market and was topped with a tarzan head from a figure I got at a yard sale. All the equipment was pieced together from fodder, the axe and shield I think are from a barbarian figure from diablo 2 (which I played a bunch). I tried to keep my paint aps to a minimum to keep the figure looking like it was produced, not customized, which isnt easy to do. He retains all his articulation and the shield is attached to the wrist swivel which allows the wrist, hand and shield to be rotated 360. This is my first contest entry. And what better way than with my cranky, rage-filled, chaotic/good barbarian fighter! RRRRAAAAHHHHHRRR!!!!!! Thanks for looking realmers! Hope you like this guy as much as I did building him and thrashing through all those monsters and bad guys over the years! ![]() |
