This is another rescue custom from my uncles store. She had a broken head and a missing stub on her leg. when i was done with the repairs i realized i have no room in my collection for a Rose McGowan (sorry Rose loved you in charmed but that's about as far as it goes)so my first thought was a April O'Neil but the figures sculpt was far to adult themed to make sense of that lol street corner April should never be a figure lol but with some modification and a little bit of sculpting i think i made a pretty solid Karai i don't know whose hair the previous owner put on her but it sure wasn't the hair that originally came with cherry at the same time it was all chopped up to be made to fit so both sides need to be sculpt in as with the bangs, sculpted hand guards and the wrap. full re paint then added some 89 shredder shoulder spikes and some red cloth for that IDW look to finisher her off. Thank you for looking Realmers let me know what you think
I really like the vibe of this figure for this character. Very cool. The accessories give it kind of a Mad Max/post apocalyptic vibe that's really cool, too. Nicely done
thank you Vic! she needed rescued. I hated seeing her just sitting there broke, and I can't see myself just throwing her away. and she really made a fantastic Karai( kinda surprised) but she did
I really respect the dedication it takes to turn trash into treasure! I also agree that this would go well with your shredder, if they stay in scale well.
if anybody knows about saving action figures it's me....lol... .loving your work brother she's absolutely beautiful.by the way where's your uncle store located at
thank you windblock, and sure its a small antique store in Illinois, whenever someone brings in toys vintage or otherwise he calls me to either check them out and price them, make sure all parts are there and original or if they are modern I end up buying them lol
