If you like comics and you missed the various Noir miniseries a few years back, you owe it to yourself to seek those out. Each series was a “what if” take on a number of Marvel heroes in the 30’s-40’s noir style. The character has appeared a few times since, with a second mini-series, a guest appearance in the Spiderverse event, and he is even featured in the Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions video game.

Spider-Man Noir’s look has varied from appearance to appearance, but I tried to remain mostly true to his first appearance. The only thing I omitted was the stitching on his mask (because I really did not care for it and he did not have it in subsequent appearances).

The head is from an Amazing Spider-Man 2 Blade Arrow Spider Strike figure with added sculpt and painted. I did the mask’s eyes with Alclad Chrome. The torso is from any number of ribbed commando shirt Joes – I think this one was from a recent 3-pack, but I had to paint it black. The legs and feet are from a ROC Snake Eyes. The sleeves are from an Avengers Assemble Nick Fury. The arms originally had sculpted-on non-articulated hands. I removed those and added Ultimate Flint hands. The holster is from an Eagle’s edge General Hawk. The gun is from my fodder bin. The jacket is from the DC Multiverse Hush, painted black.

The black webbing is made from Insta-Morph (which is usually white) with a black dye pellet added to it (I found those at Radio Shack). It is easy to use – just heat and mold. It is extremely strong yet flexible. I coated the hand in Vaseline so the warm Insta-Morph would not bond to the glove. Then I simply molded the Insta-Morph into the hand and let it cool. The result is a snug form-fitting handle for the webbing.

Great job, I loved playing this Spidey in Shattered Dimensions. That revolver looks like either the Colt single action army or the Colt Police Pistol.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure that pistol came from a Hasbro Indiana Jones. I have no idea if it is movie-accurate, though.
