Now here's something special, it is none other than the one the only Krystal from Star Fox, I've been wanting to do something non Sonic related, after thinking of what character to make I settled with Krystal, she is mad from a Psylocke her body didn't need sculpting just paint her hand have those little gem thing sculpted on them and painted her finger nails on, her head is still Psylocke's head just sculpted completely over, here tail is made out of I wire I twisted together then sculpted over to look like her tail with the metal bands she has on it I drilled a small hole in the tail and on her lower back and stuck a piece of toothpick in it so it can rotate and be detachable and painted up and here she is, her belt is made of cut up rubber bands krazy glued together on a piece of craft foam, I also took a picture of her next to a Jazwares Sonic and World of Nintendo Link just to show how tall she is, and yeah I'm in love with how she turned out I can say she is my best custom so far and I hope you all love her as much as I do, and lets hope she makes it as DLC in SSB 3DS/Wii U

Like, what tools did you use?

well the main tools I used was a dremel tool(for grinding, sanding, and for drilling the hole where her tail sticks in) and a clay needle tool(I don't know what its really called but if you google it you'll know what it is) for pressing the edges of the clay down (mostly for where you can't press clay with your fingers, like her hair I did all at once but pressing the edges down would be a little hard so the needle would work for pressing down clay that's to small or to thin).

the strands of hair is individually sculpted, like take a piece of clay make a strand and just make enough till it looks like her hair.

Hey, also big question? How did you do the process of sculpting her head?

if you mean what I did to make it look like how it is, first I sculpted the way her head would be shaped, waited for that to harden then sculpted the ears and the side fur tuffs (I don't know what you'd call that), waited for that to harden then sculpted her eyes, waited for that to harden then sculpted her eyelids, waited for that hardern then sculpted the eyelashs (while the pic might not show I sculpted 2 strands on each eyelid then paint the other down the sides of her eyes but I guess you could just paint the eyelashes on instead if you want), waited for that to harden then sculpted the hair, waited for that to harden then sculpted her tiara thing. like I said in the description her head it what needed the most sculpt, if this isn't what you meant then let me know specifically what.

Impressive work! I plan on making my own myself, using the same psylocke figure you used that I found on amazon, and I have some questions, did you cut off psylocke's hair before sculpting over her head?
And also, did you fix up any of the joints to prevent paint rub?

Hey and thanks, and to answer your questions.
Technically I didn't cut off Psylocke's hair since its rubbery like, so heating her head or running it under hot water should loosen it and you can just pull the hair off.(and you got yourself some hair for a future custom haha)
Also for preventing paint rub what I did was use my dremel(I don't remember what the bit I used is called but it's thin and it comes with a letter stencil to carve letters on wood but I think sandpaper can work too if you don't have a dremel)on her shoulder joints(cause that's where the paint rub off before I fixed it)you also might wanna use some sandpaper to where her legs connect cause of the crotch area kinda scratched the paint when I first brought her legs forward before I fixed that.

she looks perfect, though for future reference if you care about scale I found that Star Wars figures scale a little better with the WON line than Marvel Universe figures, I used a Luke Skywalker to make my Falco and he's exactly the same height as Link.

thanks a lot, yeah I've seen your Falco and yes I did see her being abit taller than Link I was thinking of shorting her legs but decided not to, but who knows maybe I might try shorting her abit when the WON Fox figure comes out, also Star Wars figures are kinda hard to find in my local stores and the ones I do find just have very simple articulation, but again thanks a lot
