Debated posting these guys separate, but it really seemed to make more sense to put them together. Come a long way since my first wrestling customs. Glad I got back into it a bit. There have been some great tag teams over the years, but one of my favorites was always the Legion of Doom, Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal. I had wanted to make them for ages, but was never sure how to approach the shoulder pads. When the request came in, it was also pointed out to me that there was an official release of the GI Joe character, Road Pig. So, I grabbed his shoulder pads and added them to the Wonder Man bodies. Had to hollow them out a little first. Didn't quite fit well. Then, I sculpted up the shoulder pads themselves, and the straps around the bodies. I really wanted to make them removable, but no matter how much I sanded, I couldn't get it to work. However, it does work perfectly on the more standard build. To top them off came a bunch of toothpicks. I have currently stabbed myself on them more times than I honestly care to admit. The bodies themselves were a full repaint with a different cast head for each. I have no idea where they came from specifically. I picked up a ton and opted to go with these. Hawk's face paint was super simple, but I forgot how detailed Animal usually was with his. Overall, fun projects, and I do hope to revisit them sometime.
