This past week we got the first huge announcement for season two of Daredevil. With rumors of Bullseye and Elektra, we got official confirmation that Jon Bernthal would be playing Punisher. I've seen a few people not like the news, but overall, it's been pretty well received. I don't judge until I actually see it, but I'm really excited to see it. AngelForge has some Walking Dead heads available, so I grabbed a Bernthal cast and jumped to work. I wanted to fix up a true concept, but kept coming back to this traditional comic look. I had a jacket on hand, so I swapped out the arms for Starlord and the lower legs for some Joe, and started on the sculpting. Sculpted up he rest of the sleeves, the upper legs a bit, added some over the lower torso, and fixed up the shirt look on his upper torso. From there, a straight black repaint, and added the skull. That part was a lot simpler with an old Punisher figure on hand as a guide. Only added two light coats so it would have a little bit of a worn look to it. Painted up the head, and done! I presume he'll have more of an armored look, maybe SWAT inspired, so I hope to try a second draft soon. And then revisit him when the show actually comes back. Hear that'll be about two years from now.
