Hey everyone,

My inspiration for this mash-up came after watching one of the episodes of the series "The Legend of Korra". In that episode there was a magical  hybrid creature name the Lion turtle. At first I thought the combination of these two animals was weird and odd, but at the same time a idea instantly hit me of combining 80's iconic cartoon characters Thundercats Lion-O with Tmnt Leonardo.

Both of these characters have a lot in common. They both heroic leaders of their teams, both battle and use swords as their weapon of choice. Their main outfit color is blue and each seek guidance from their Master/Mentor elders Splinter and Jaga. Lion-O is a humunoid Lion while tmnt Leo name translation in latin mean lion. Finally both cartoons probably had the best opening intro's in the 80's. Watching these memorable Tmnt/ Thundercats intros really hyped kids up for the show.

Here what I did to create Lionard-O of the Turtlecats!!
First I used Motu classics Chief Carnivus for the base. Then I removed his head, accessories and lower legs. Replaced these spots with Neca tmnt head and lower legs.
Next thing I did was fully sculpt his hair, eyebrows,fangs in its mouth, briefs and boot linings. Then added Neca Leo blue wrist wraps, turtle shell and katanas along with Bandai Lion-O Sword of Omen, Claw shield and Thundercats emblem for his front belt.

Painted him up in Lion-O Thundercats colors with multiple shading. Then repainted all the accessories and finally Turtlecats Lionard-O was done.

I hope you guys like this mash-up of two characters from two classic childhood cartoon shows.
