Bikini jungle babe with a giant Sabre tooth tiger...how could I go wrong! I hated my classics Battle Cat from the minute I opened it and found out how lousy his torso articulation was, so I knew one day he was destined to be Zabu! While I was at it I figured why not make a sexy Shanna to lounge around the Savage Land with her massive feline friend. I cut my hands up pretty badly cracking BC's torso parts in half so I could use a combination of stretchy cord and bullet magnets to re articulate him so he now has rotating capability and side to side motion. Entirely re-sculpted his neck and some details, including sabre teeth and pointy(rubber)front claws. The difference in the play-ability of this figure is astounding! I highly recommend fixing your Battle Cats and Panthors, because with a little side to side pose-ability, the Four Horsemen's sculpts really come alive! As for Shanna, I went with Frank Cho proportions, sculpting her breasts, bikini and hair from scratch, as well as giving her bare feet. She has interchangeable hands so she can hold her weapons (spear, rifle, and machete) or have open hands for petting her kitty. I was so happy with how they looked together that I decided to make a Savage Land base for them to chill out on. Sculpted a prehistoric looking tree and added some vegetation on top of a cracked stone looking base made of insulation foam. This is one of my favorite pieces, so all the cuts were worth it!
This was an amazing set and I was glad to yours first. I am working on Zabu myself. I had it in mind when Battle Cat was first out but could only get the one. Now I have a second and he is currently sitting on my table with shortened tail and longer teeth. Can't wait to start painting this guy. I won't be cracking him open this time around because it took too long to get it but I may try it in the future. You'll have to explain how you made all that work. Lol
Had I browsed this forum before I posted my own Kazar and Zabu diorama, I would have given it another week or two to let the awesomeness of your custom die down! This is a fantastic custom; well planned and executed, and my Kazar now totally wants to get together with your Shanna for some Jungle Love, oh wee oh wee oh! lol!
Kidding, I never pose my figures in inappropriate manners. ...too much robot chicken...
Thanks dude! Most of my toys get posed in compromising positions at some point, especially super pose-able bikini girls. I remember having Scarlett on a leash from one of the GIJoe dogs, with the Baroness taking her for a walk...I was like eight years old!
Thanks dude! Thank you for your comment, it got me on the most talked about list. Awesome! The last time I was on there, was for another sexy girl in a skimpy bikini (slave Leia). Sexy sells!
WOW! , one of the most beautiful custom pieces I have seen In a long time!! (oh and the girl is cute too! ) , but seriously Outstanding work on both pieces , highly detailed , Perfect!!!
It's kinda tough to explain. I have a bunch of counter sunk hyper strong magnets holding the rear end together, and stretchy cord (the good kind, like what was used in original 60's GIJoes) connecting the upper torso to a hollow neck segment I sculpted with a magnet in it that connects to the head, giving the whole thing an incredibly natural range of motion that holds it's poses perfectly. Does that help?
Holy gosh is this ever so sexy! Really smooth, clean work, especially with the paint on her bikini. The pictures turned out wonderfully as well, really dynamic posing with Zabu!
Thanks man! I don't think there's a pose these two don't look cool in together. They are way too much fun to play with! I will be a bit sad to see them sell.
