That's a really neat idea using Hit Monkey's hand! I've been wanting to do Psylocke for a while (who doesn't ) but was unsure on how she could hold a katana because there aren't easy to get female figures with the right hands for it.
Great repaint dude, like how simple it looks and that you didn't need to worry about rub in the crotch (man I can't stop with these innuendos ). May have to steal this recipe. I would just say she needs a bit more painting on the legs to simulate the material wrapping.
I think the head works great for Betsy, she's sometimes depicted looking less "Asian".
Thanks X! I hear you on the leg paint. I actually did paint the straps on the legs originally, but I just couldnt get the lines clean looking. At the end of the day, I decided that a clean paint job and maybe a little "concept" was better than comic accurate with a messy paint job..... especially since she will be occupying a prominent spot on my shelf
I know you have the skill to do it man, just need patience! And maybe a wrap the figure in some cloth and grip in a vice?. I use my little finger of the hand holding the brush, to "anchor" on the figure to prevent shaky hands. Works brilliant.
And you've got to do a group shot of all your X-men stuff!
Thanks X! Yeah,I just wasn't feeling motivated on this one. My patience/motivation is directly related to my interest in the character. I took hours to get all of the stripes straight on my recent USAgent, and was happy to do it. But I just couldn't be bothered for the lovely Psylocke
You know seriously, I kind of prefer this thigh high boot which makes more sense. Those leg wraps, although they do make for a more comic accurate figure, really make no sense. It's like a super heroine/crime fighter wearing high heels. How are they supposed to run around fighting crime in high heels? Just my humble opinion.
Wow, great looking Psylocke! The added hand for the sword was brilliant. I like how you painted her face and sculpted her hair ...makes her look better than the other Psylockes out there made by others with this base.
