I love fiddly stuff. The smaller the detail, the happier I am. So when I first saw tiny little poseable action figures I knew I'd found a new love.
I dremmeled their little Halo bodies down until there was little else left but joints then started to layer on the milliput. I started with a base body shape, then added muscle definition/facial structure before finishing them off with armour and fine details.

I crafted signature weapons and felt like being REALLY fancy with Trapjaw, giving him three interchangeable weapon arms. A laser cannon, battleaxe and spiked mace. I also wanted to make Beastman's whip flexible for posing and used a little twisty thing usually found around the wrists and feet of action figures in their packaging.

I painted them with Citadel paints/washes and added gloss to any parts meant to be metal or leather.

Once they were done I really wanted a little display base so I spray painted some polystyrene to make it melt and give it that rocky effect, added some milliput trees/rocks and a skull then painted it to blend in with the Castle Greyskull background (using a combination of Citadel and watercolour paints)
It was almost there, but something just wasn't right. The figures didn't seem to want to be posed on the display.
So I carved out a space for a Mega Blocks base, painted it to match the rest of the display and BOOM! Finally done.

I'm currently working on a Judge Dredd/Cursed Earth display before moving on to an A-Team set (there just isn't enough love shown to those soldiers of fortune IMO)

Please comment with any feedback, good or bad. But don't swear ;)

Update* the more I looked at the original display I made, the more it bugged me. Added a frame to the background picture and better trim around the base. Also added a few more tree stumps.

It truly is an epic jaw. He-Man was the first one I did, then purchased a fine collection of carving tools. I was tempted to resculpt the head but there's something about that jaw. Mesmerizing, like a lava lamp
If yo think that jaw's buff... wait til you see Judge Dredd's.

I really appreciate that man. I love your work. There was a bit of work went in to them but I stick some trashy tv on in the background and just potter away with them. There are worse ways to spend an evening

Thanks so much, they're great little figures to work with and they've got my creative juices in overload. The Dredd set is coming along nicely (still can't decide whether to try some sort of Lawmaster) but there's so much scope with these figures I'm always thinking several steps ahead.
I'd love to try some Skyrim armours (dunno if you're familiar with them?) because with the removable forearms, lower legs and head the different armours could be mixed and matched.
I'm officially a Mega Blocks junkie

Thanks very much, I'm glad they all turned out well. Had one of them gone a bit awry it would have been a trio and one poor fella would have been dremelled back to a shell.

Thank you and thanks for sticking by the "no swear" thing. Unless of course you're referring to how BUTCH He-Man is

Thanks very much. At two inches tall they certainly could be "charms"
