So, I finished up SpiderVerse and immediately wanted to make some Spiderman related customs. When I got to Silk, I immediately regretted my decision. When it comes to line work, I am certainly not the most patient person around. And she had a ton of it. I chose this design since it seemed a lot simpler than a couple of her others. And I'm realized the red circles on her chest are probably supposed to be an S. That's probably my bad, but I swear that's how it looked in the reference pictures I used, so I'm pleading innocent anyway. So, for those who don't know, Silk is the other person who was bit by the radioactive spider. Yep, secretly there this whole time. Apparently, she was bit right after Peter, got sick, couldn't control her powers, was found by Ezekiel and trained, and then locked away. He wanted to protect her from the Inheritors. Now, while SpiderVerse was a pretty good event, the concept of being Spider Totems was just so weird to me. Removes the science and brings in the mysticism. Anyway, for fixing her up, I swapped out the hands for Dagger, since I've got a few pairs of those around. Head was a cast from AngelForge I had on hand, but still had to sculpt the scarf. One agonizingly tedious repaint later, and done! I believe I shall avoid Spiderman related characters for a while.
