Since I used my Captain America First Avenger base for my Winter Soldier Comic origin figure, I had to put together a new one. The original figure I felt was a little small in build, & the head did not look that much like Chris Evans. So I picked up a plastic 12" Cap figure @ Walmart that had an Awesome Build. While putting the Tunic on the new base, I had to split the back of the arms...Squeeze onto the figure & then stretch & pull the material mostly closed & Super Glue it in place. Used some fill material in the open area & painted to match. Used the original Pants with the base for Winter Soldier, so I used my daughter's old 12" Legolas figure's pants which were a nice rough material & very stretchy. Painted Dark Blue with a mud splatter effect. Used Legolas boot spats for the traditional Cap Bucket boot effect, painted darker brown with mud spatter to. Replaced head with Cap A.O.U. helmeted head & transferred the ear pieces from original head over. Painted wings in. Added Boot Knife, Right glove Blade & new holster with hang down strap as well as a Left thigh large pouch & built a matching leg strap to his holster straps.. Then battle damaged Shield. I like the Grittier look like he has been through the Trenches with the Troops. Any Thoughts? ![]() |
