This Custom Took Me Forever. First off let me start with how I hate pegs on props. After looking at my Silver Surfer for a long time, I got tired of knowing about the pegs on his board causing poor Norrin Radd to look stupid when he gets displayed. I first pryed open his board & Dremeled the guts out. I slid a piece of steel inside the board & superglued it all back. I then Dremeled the pegs down & gave the whole board a nice clean crome silver coat. I put 2 magnets in each of Surfers feet & gave him a nice coat of crome silver. Everything dryed super HARD for 2 days. Well, when I put the surfer on the board to see if he'll magnetize to it, he did. But, not a pretty picture when I seperate him from the board. Paint got all scratched up, etc. I decided to go a differant approach. I found some thin sheet metal & made a board, way too thin was the result. I then found a thicker but yet thin sturdy sheet metal. Come to find out it's stainless steel. A lot of grinding, cutting & sanding later, It turns out Beautiful. This Board is what you'll see in the photos. Scaled exactly to the Hasbro Board but thinner. No Paint on this board. I also made a Custom Base with a magnet, for the board. This one hope everyone likes. Thank You for Looking.
To began with I'm sorry I've been gone so long. To answer ?'s about the board I sanded down. It was very tedious. Please excuse me for my maybe attitude. I just lost my Mother Tuesday Morning. I pray I can keep internet going but not sure. I don't know how to explain it but it worked out right. Forgive me for I must Go. I'LL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!
