While I enjoyed the Warg playset put out during the Two Towers toy run, I felt it was kind of lacking. Granted they only made Sharku (the leader) as the only figure that came with the playset, the Warg itself was beautiful and well articulated. I've been cleaning out old figures and thought this was a perfect chance to try my hand at making a different, more generic rider. I decided to use the Moria Goblin because his cast is PERFECT for his. Whoever designed him is, well, kind of an idiot. See, he doesn't have any movement points at the knees so his legs are stuck in that crouching...whatever position. Which makes standing him a real pain (it is do-able though). Sitting down on the other hand, perfect! Like I said though, the Warg is pretty sweet. 19 points of movement, sick paint and a cool 'Attack Bite' button. Anyhow, the Goblin, his spear and his helmet were all repainted. I noticed that the riders in the TT and the Hobbit were mostly darker red, so I went with that mottled, red skin. Armor and weapons got hit with gunmetal and then weathering. Warg stayed mostly the same, but I did repaint his mane black instead of the market brown it was. Figures feature: Warg: -Custom Paint job -15 points of movement -'Attack Bite' Push button (moves jaws) Warg Rider: - Points of movement -Custom paint job -Removeable helmet -Spear weapon ![]() |
