He may look frail & withered, but this zombie Supes has got all of Superman's strength, power AND he's undead on top of that!
Made from a DC Direct Deadman, the fists, boots and cape were replaced from a JLA Superman figure. Sculpted the chest insignia (what's left of it), did the hair swirl and detailed some chomped flesh for a touch of realism. Added the belt cut from a strip of blister package and made sure to leave plenty of room in the waist lol - emphasizing emaciation, gaunt corpse, and all that other undead stuff.
This design was inspired by the scene in the movie The Mummy Returns where Imhotep, the undead Pharaoh, awakens and his "flesh" begins to solidify and spiral around his bones. The more lives he consumed, the more of him became re-generated. It was a neat special FX, and to imagine Superman so skeletal was visually more interesting than just giving him a few battle-damaged zombie wounds. Bizarro has always been compared as a zombie version of Superman. This custom tries to break away from that image, and was made as fan interest.
