Slade Wilson is definitely a tough guy. He has wreaked havoc, with a side of mahem in just about every end of the DC universe. His televised and animated exploits alone, from terrorizing the Arrow, trying to take down the Batman and his son, not to mention Dick Grayson in many of his forms, to just being one of the most sought after mercenaries on the map. Even after his wife stripping him of his depth perception, he didn't stop being nearly unstoppable in so many stories and legends. He has enhanced speed, senses, reflexes, strength, not to mention his increased regeneration and martial arts skills and all around badassery! You don't get the name Terminator for being the most eligible babysitter. Deathstroke continues to be an amazing adversary to many heroes in the land of DC, and should have no problem finding a place among many of the other tough characters that will find themselves on this list.
Slade here was made primarily from a revolmini Iron man and solid snake. I sculpted the mask over the iron man head, sculpted the chest, abs and lower back, as well as the upper arms. The belt and gun holster came from a marvel universe Cable, the sword was cut from some metal for the blade and sculpted the hilt. The bandana part and other straps came from various fodder. The Venom Snake head made for an excellent unmasked Slade.
I had a lot of fun making this one, and I'm pretty happy with the end result. So, I hope you guys like him, and I hope he deserves a place up here with all of the other amazing entries. Thanks for checking him out folks.

It takes talent to win a contest with 3.75 scale because 1:18 are not appreciated as much as the larger scale, but you were able to overcome that hurdle and create a phenomenal piece. The versatility of your work speaks for itself..Congrats on your first win and gold brotha!!

I don't know about that, seems to me there are way more 1/18th scale forums than there are for 1/12th. It's not surprising considering how lackluster 6-inch fodder is compared to how incredibly detailed and varied 3.75-inch stuff is, especially with people starting Kickstarter projects for that scale all the time.

I specifically was talking about on the realm..outside is a different story..I don't rememember the last time 1:18 custom won a contest on this site. This is a special occasion what Rayne74 was able to do on figure realm. Congrats again bro!

Great point Vic... what Rayne74 did here was awesome! And while I may agree to a certain extent with DR Nightmare, the fact still stands that most sculptors will agree that the transition between a smaller scale FROM a larger scale is more difficult. Even if it's something as small as hair, the top customizers I know who actually sculpt detail agree that smaller scales are more difficult. Even if you mostly kitbash, I would still tip my hat with more respect to a person who put in equal amounts of work than a person who did it on a larger scale regardless of whether there is more accessible in this scale or not. I would say headsculpts for sure are not better in 3.75" than compared to larger scales which is a HUGE component to finishing off a nice custom. And MU alone doesn't have much of a variety in terms of accessories however if you try and kitbash a GI Joe part with an MU buck it's quite hard because like ML the scale of MU is also quite larger than your real "3.75" scale. It's all about blending and Rayne did an awesome job here

I appreciate it guys for the most part, I work in the 3.75 scale because that was the scale of the figures I grew up loving. Star wars, gi joe, etc.. I occasionally work with the 6 inch too, and I have a metric tons of fodder on that side too. For the most part, 3.75 is where I have more fun. Like Dr Nightmare said, there really is so much fodder to work with in the smaller scale, and it does make the search for parts a lot easier. All in all, I love this hobby in any scale, and I am proud to be amongst all of you guys who enjoy it too. Thanks again for all the kind words and support, folks
