This design was a concept design from the failed Tim Burton movie SUPERMAN REBORN. The wing apparatus was used to assist Supes in flight until he had regained his powers. Very radical design by James Carson for the film. Personally it's very intriguing to me.

Basically, I painted the entire figure black and then went back with a dark grey drybrush. After that had set, I went back again and did a drybrush of silver. The pattern for the flying wing was first hand drawn and then applied to the material used for the final wing. Painted black and then drybrushed many times with silver. The base stand comes from a Mattel Superman Returns Superman Ken doll.
