This is the "Emperor's Wrath" version of the Star Wars Black Series Darth Vader. A major improvement over the first Vader release, this figure sports a new headsculpt and a removable right hand. With that as a starting point, I painted the helmet gloss black with silver on the tusks and the nose. I also altered the cape, adding wires down the sides to help the cape fall more naturally. I also replaced the stock chain with a black one. I could have stopped there and had a very good representation of the Dark Lord of the Sith, but the knees were soft and rubbery, so the best he could do was stand bow-legged. Someone on another board made me aware of hard casts of both knees, which could be purchased online. I replaced both knees and Vader now stands tall and imposing, as he should be. The first photo is of the finished product. The second photo is of this new Vader before knee replacement surgery. The third photo is a comparison of this new version of Vader with the original Black Series Vader release. This is now my ultimate version of a 6" scale Darth Vader. ![]() |
