For this figure, I did not strip the old paint, in fact for I just "enhanced" the features (eyes detail, wrinkles, shades, lips color) with markers (Gundam Real Touch) and coloring pencil, for the gray hair I just painted over the original brown hair, I painted it black first, then dry brushed the gray color on top.
