Let me start by saying...I am not a customizer but I love seeing the things you guys create. As for my Evil Superman...from the moment Neca surprised us with these 7" figures and I got one at TRU,I had the immediate thought of wanting to make an attempt to convert one into an Evil Superman. After I had a few in my collection, I decided to open one and give it a shot. I made sure to take the proper steps and loosen this guy up with warm water and heat as the horror stories of him breaking are very real. My plan was simple...all I was going to do is add a few shades of gray to him because that's really what he was...a dirtier, darker Superman...but not too dark. What I did was quite simple...I went over him with neutral gray copic markers...the whole figure including the cape...the markers have a very nice nib/brush tip which...in my opinion, worked real well on him...You will see in the 3rd pic next to the regular Superman that he is much darker and dirtier looking...He really looks like a different character. I even gave him a little shadow on his face...It would be GREAT if Neca gave us an Evil Superman...but if they don't, I am quite happy with how this guy looks. Please wait... |

When I use a flash, it picks up the wash too much. Theres all those sculpted lines on his suit and the flash picks that up too much. Looking at him in person, you don't notice that...he just looks overall darker.
