Mia Dearden was a runaway whom Oliver Queen rescued and took under his wing. After sometime she convinced Ollie to allow her to become his sidekick, the new Speedy, even eventually joining the Teen Titans.

I started Mia a long while ago when I began my Arrow phase eventually pushing out Connor Hawke, Onomatopoeia, and Cupid. Speedy took a little longer because I couldn't find a hood and hair I was happy with, but eventually settled on the version now shown. She's made from a Marvel Legends Spider-girl body since that figure is on the shorter side and already mostly black I thought it gave me a good head start. The cape came from a Batman Legacy Catwoman figure while the head is from a DCUC Starfire figure. Since I couldn't find an actual hood I liked I wound up composing one from moldable plastic. I think it turned out pretty decent, though it took multiple tries to get a size and shape I was happy with. One added bonus is that it is easily removable. The hair is modified from an ML Black Cat. I kept the front length but had to trim the underneath to fit the body. I also cut off the back and sculpted a style closer to the back of her head so that the hood fit on better without looking too bulky.

Overall I'm pretty happy with how she turned out even if I wasn't crazy with the results along the way.
