Never did get big into Valiant, but I do remember trying a couple projects years ago. Should revisit them now that I'm much better with white. I've heard the rebooted universe is quite awesome, but just don't have the time to read comics that I used to. I manage to keep up with a couple. That's about it. For character history, I can't say it better than this:

"At the height of the Cold War, the Soviet Union – determined to win the Space Race at any cost – green lit a dangerously advanced mission. They sent a man farther into the cosmos than anyone has gone before or since. Lost in the stars, he encountered something unknown. Something that…changed him. Long thought lost and erased from the history books, he has suddenly returned, crash-landing in the Australian Outback. So, creation. Cut the collar short and added some sculpt on the lower arms to blend the gloves with the sleeves. Added more sculpt for the belt and then his torso for the red sections. Added more sculpt over that, then dremeled in to add the wires. That was just some necklace elastic I grabbed at WalMart. The head was a 25th Anniversary Destro with sculpt added over the ears and across the head. From there, a slightly tedious repaint, and he's all finished up!
