The Midnighter and Apollo are two members of the superhero group called The Authority. They are sort of like the equivalents of Batman and Superman on the Justice League.

The Midnighter is a human with enhanced abilities. He can predict his opponent's moves and calculate every possible way to win the fight. Unlike Batman, the Midnighter efficiently kills all his opponents.

Apollo is a human bioengineered to absorb the sun's energy. He can blast solar energy from his eyes or hands. His powers of flight and invulnerability have enabled him to fly into outer space and even walk on the surface of the sun. Unlike Superman, Apollo has no weakness to Kryptonite.

These partners may be similar to Batman and Superman, but the Midnighter and Apollo have a much closer relationship. They are an openly gay couple, never afraid to show the world that they love each other.

If both duos were to fight, "Team Super Bat" versus "Team Midnight Sun" would truly be an epic battle.
