His father was a mutant but kept it a secrete from Napalm 's because she was prejudice against mutants, it wasn't until Napalm 's powers started to show and his mother rallying the members of the town to have him killed did his father show his power to save him life... Sadly his father died managing to allow Napalm to escape. As a result of Napalm mothers action no one knows his real name, he refuses to go by it knowing his mother was the one who named him. Rather he goes by Napalm out of a joke his father made when his powers started to show. Napalm 's bases level strength is in the 90 ton weight class, he's mastered several types of hand to hand combat but has been told by Cap that he replies to heavily on his strength. His durability Mathew his strength that in he has no worries about hand guns or other low caliber fire arms... Although high caliber still poses a threat. He can also produce flames around did body that he uses to enhance his physical attacks. He also creates concussive blast that do hurt him but devastate his enemies. Mutants teams have been trying to recruit Napalm for years but embarrassed of being a mutant due to his mother's prejudice he would much rather fight with Cap.
