This figure is extremely special to me for numerous reasons. The first of those leads me to the recipe-- I did more part swapping with this figure than usual, replacing B-Cap's lower legs with Blizzard's. He also has the Bliz's right hand and head. His left hand is from a different Captain America. I LOVE making hair, and Backlash required me to experiment with making a bald head look like it has hair-- and I love how it turned out.

Backlash is the character that made me become a comic book fan, and this is my second custom of him. I had my first one on the shelf with Spidey-Ben, but the Wildcore look just wasn't right. When I realized making the hair had worked, I knew I was going to make this into the Spider-Man crossover version of Backlash for this contest. Like I said, I love this character so I honed in on every little detail, like the logo on his right shoulder. He even has the pouch coming off his belt, which actually plays an important role in the crossover story.

Backlash can rock either his purple whips or his yellow ones in this costume, as it was the one he wore when his Kherubim side purged him of his Gen-Factor. I made sure to have one open hand because a) Backlash often leaves his hand open when he uses his whips, but most importantly b) it lets him hold his own whip and swing around places, which he was only shown to do about 2 or 3 times in his all too short comic book history.
