This has been a very fulfilling custom to make Bard the dragon slayer decedent of Lord Gillion of Dale and future King of Dale. I used an Aragorn figure as the base and had to resculpt the upper face to get rid of the weird face they gave him I sculpted the torso shirt entirely out of miliput and the lower trousers. I took a gimli cape for that sack cloth motif as the kilt and some rubber straps for the belt. The lower trousers above the boot were sculpted to match the film and I repainted the entire thing also sculpted fur trim but took a lot from Thorin coats. The hair is a mixture of pale or fields Aragorn hair, sculpted the ears also, and sculpt from miliput painted brown black and grey lines for the aging of him. The bow was made from a Hellboy II Prince Nuada spear cut in half and reattached at the handle the I strung the bow with a grey string as that's poorer looking as goes with the Lake Town design. His quiver was a Legolas one resculpt ex and I added the straps on the back from a goblin from the 3.75 inch scale figure. Lastly the arrows are Legolas ones repainted black then silver and dirty looking and the black arrow was a long plastic pole sliced down the top middle twisted stuck and sharpened to a point. Added the end bit or feathers from an Aragorn arrow. Hope you enjoy and leave me a comment! But yeah for all those who are making this and we're going to upload this "not if I post it first!" I jest of course just had to put some quote there. Please wait... |
