As my second contribution I decided to go with my very first custom action figure. I started working on this minutes after I got back from seeing The Force Awakens on opening night (it was 3 in the morning, sue me). It was a fairly obvious choice so I won't bore you with any mental details.

Head - Re-sculpted Black Series: Bespin Luke Skywalker

Right Hand - Reworked Halo Reach Series 6: Kat

Everything else - Black Series: Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker

I simply repainted the JK Luke figure with a few layers of light tan and white. I combined dry brushing and washes to make the colors more defined. I then took the head and added a beard using Milliput and a razor. after a repaint it was good to go. The hand was a little trickier. I took the right forearm of a Halo Kat figure and used the saw attachment on the dremel to cut away until I had a peg. It was then simple to insert the peg into Luke's right arm. It even retains the swivel articulation and a bit of pivot movement.
Finally, I got to work with the fabric. this was the real test as I ended up having to sow the upper tunic onto the figure as it couldn't be removed and put on without damaging it. but, onc eit was all said and done, I think it turned out alright! Mind you, this was before all the Luke head molds were released. I might end up buying one and replacing this one with one of those.

The icing on top of the cake was that, during Celebration Europe last month, Mark Hamill actually signed my picture of the figure!
