Hello dear realmers,

this Animal Man was a comisson figure for a friend of mine who did send me a Lightray figure which he wanted to be transformed into the Animal Man. He wanted to loose the waist articulation in favour of a better sculpt and he wanted the figure to be shiny and happy smiling.

I did remove all the paint of the figure by sanding it of, as the surface was no good for any paint to stick on it, not even a base spray.
Afterwards I sculpted the mask and the chest Symbol and belt. Also closed the gap between upper and lower torso with apoxie sculpt after I get rid of the Lightray soft rubber belt.
Gave him a base spray and a paintjob with three different blue shades.
Gave him a glossy finish as requested for the costume, just left the face section mate.

For a good finish I also took the Lightray base and transformed it into an Animal Man base with his trademark comic book cover writing.

Smiling DC Direct Animal Man 7 inch with shiny costume, done! The base was a personal bonus ;-) !
