I didn't much care for the series 1 Daryl McFarlane made. It wasn't a terrible figure, but the way they positioned his body made it so that he could only hold 1 pose without it making him look distorted. His arms hung at different lengths because his shoulders were tilted at a crossbow holding angle. So I started with series 6 Abraham upper body. I removed the peg that held his upper arms to his shoulders and replaced his arms with the ones of series 6 Daryl. The Daryl figure that came in a motorcycle box set would have worked as well. Or the series 7 and series 9 figures. Though, the series 9 Daryl looked a bit dirtier than the others. For his legs, I used Rick's lower body from the series 6/series 7 Woodbury Assault figure and gave it a paint job. I also added the sliding waist piece of the series 6 Daryl to the series 6 Rick legs. Then gave it a fresh new blue jean paint job. And I added a bit onto the bandanna he got from Carol that's seen sticking out of his back left pocket. I sliced a small bit of the bandanna plastic off the series 1 Daryl leg and repainted it to match the color of this new custom. Without adding that small piece, the bandanna would have started too far down his pants leg. With this added piece, it looks like it's (sort of) stuffed underneath his shirt and in his back pocket. I removed the pegged feet that were once Rick's boots and replaced them with series 1 Daryl's sneakers. The final piece to this custom is replacing series 6 Abraham's head with series 1 Daryl's head! Then, viola! You've got yourself a more possable season 1 Daryl Dixon! Thanks for checking him out!
