Here's my vision of how McFarlane "should" have made this super iconic character. I absolutely can't stand figures that lack articulation, especially when other figures from the same line are more than fully posable. I took the series 2/series 3 exclusive Rick figure and removed his upper torso from the stiff legs. Then I gave his bloody clothes a fresh new brown T-shirt look and removed his lower arms. I'm currently using the lower arms from the comic series 4 Abraham figure. However, when I took these pictures, I was using Daryl series 6/motorcycle box set lower arms. They kept falling oit, so I replaced them with comic Abraham's. All ya need to do is popped them into place of the brown shirted figure. I took the cargo pants off the series 6 Abraham figure and painted over the camo pattern with a khaki look. I used series 5 Glenn pistol holster and removed it from his leg with an exacto knife. I super glued it to the hip of the khaki pants and placed the Glock inside it that originally came with series 7 Woodbury Assault Rick. I used Daryl's hands from the series 6/motorcycle box set figure. I like to use the shaved variant of Shane's head sculpt because he wore this outfit after he cut all his hair off, however, the police ball cap head will also fit this custom. Thanks for viewing! Figures Used: Rick Grimes (series 2/series 3 exclusive) - upper torso Shane Walsh (series 2) - head/interchangeable hatted head, shotgun Comic Abraham (series 4) - lower arms Daryl Dixon (series 6/motorcycle box set) - hands/lower arms Abraham Ford (series 6) - legs and boots Glenn Rhee (series 5) - pistol holster Rick Grimes (series 7 Woodbury Assault) - Glock pistol ![]() |
