Icemaster first appeared in a crossover ad between Marvel and Hostess. He wanted to freeze the world, but the Human Torch appeased him with some tasty snacks. Many years later, he entered the mainstream Marvel Universe as a member of the Masters of Evil, and continues to be an icy menace!
Another one off of my ancient to-do list! Originally, I was going to use XMC Iceman, but I couldn't find the right hair. The plan was to keep the figure translucent, so the hair had to be clear plastic. Once I saw the new Iceman with the back ice extensions, I knew I had my base figure. I got an extra figure (actually three, just in case), and made the hair, eyebrows, moustache and beard with the extensions. I'm glad I waited and made the hair this way, otherwise it wouldn't have looked 'icy' enough. Once the sculpt work was done, I added some clear paint with a touch of blue to even out the figure.
