Surprisingly, there were only three color variants across the world. I thought for sure there'd be more. I was expecting to cover the whole rainbow with these guys. In New Zealand, they went with brown. Took me ages to find an image of it. Finally got one after I got him painted up. So, my rendition is full brown, instead of the light variation he was actually published with. But, that feels like it would have looked weird in figure form. Still a couple more designs to go through, but this finishes up the International alternate colors.
Love these figures, I like to see different versions and colors. In my country "el fantasma de la selva" was purple aswell, although I've seen some covers of him wearing yellow pants. Anyways you can always try the black and white version copying the news paper strips and/or the brown and ivory resembling some of the early comics that were around my country back then. Congratulations on your set of phantoms.
Really? Purple with yellow pants? Wow. That is weird to even imagine. lol Black and white could definitely be interesting. I didn't even think of that. Never tried a black and white design before. Thanks!
It's actually so cool that his colors changed depending on the region. Brown seems out of place considering the vibrancy of the other depictions, but you nailed it beautifully!
Honestly, I really want to find more characters like that. I like the concept of different colors across the world, but everything I find is either the same, or a completely different design. Was glad to come across one, though. Thanks for the compliment!
