Sinestro Corps Patchwork Oranque is part of the The Sinestro Corps sect call The Bete Noire faction.The Bete Noire faction( which most Sinestro members rearrange the letters to nbf and call them nothing but freaks) is a group within the Sinestro Corps that was form by The Scarecrow from Space Sector 2814. They like to think of themselves as the best of the best at spreading fear. The reason for this conceitedness is that most members so far has roots ties to most space sector culture folklore myth reality and things of children nightmare.
Patch Oranqe was a master clock-smith. There was no clock watch or any instrument that tell time he could not fix which earn him the nickname "Clockwork". Because no matter how you brought you clock in to be repaired Patch"Clockwork" Orangue will get it back working. will get it back working. One day a stranger in town came to "Clockwork" Orangue place of business and brought him an object that tells time but was not working anymore.Clockwork never seen anything like it before but since Clockwork love clocks and a good challenge he took the clock. Clockwork worked on clock day in and day out he even lost plenty of sleep over this clock. Friends and neighbors would come in and check on him and notice how he was looking run down. They begged him to stop working on this clock or to at least take a break. Clockwork could not hear nothing they say, because this clock consume him so much that they say he became wind up as tight as the clocks he worked on. On the fatal night when clockwork lost his sanity the town folks say when clockwork mainspring broke it was so loud that you could hear it for miles.It was so loud that it woke must of the villager out of a deep sleep. Clockwork was now a raving lunatic with no more sense of reality. Killing terrorizing bring fear too the people who once love and praise him. After years of terrorizing his world Clockwork Oranque receive a ring during the event that was called the Blackest Night. During the Blackest Night event he befriended a corps member name Scarecrow., Even in his lunatic state of mind he admire the scarecrow. clockwork love hanging out with the Scarecrow. Even when Scarecrow form The Bete Noire Faction. Patchwork was still allowed to hang out with the group even though he wasn't a member. Lately the ring would go in search of the scarecrow but come back without him. This has left The Bete Noire Faction. without a a real leader only Will o wisp who is 2nd in command. So Clockwork took up the mantle of his friend the scarecrow. After making his mask Clockwork did not want to use his friend name. Thru his insane eyes. he came up with a name that means Scarecrow... Patchwork. Now clockwork fells like his whole life was meant to lead him up til this moment. This was his destiny. He was born Patch Oranque. His career rename him Clockwork Oranque. Put the two names together and it become a alternate name of his best friend the scarecrow. This day forth and forever more he will never he will be known as Patchwork Oranque.
