This figure was made from a ML Sentry, LH Ripclaw head and other figure odds & ends. This custom is based on the Marvel’s 90’s Age of Apocalypse character design of Magneto as he is seen in the Age of Apocalypse crossover book “Amazing X-men”. On Marvel Universe Earth-295 designated “the Age of Apocalypse” Charles Xavier died before forming the X-men and in his stead the X-men were formed by Magneto, not before the mutant Apocalypse practically conquered the Earth. As the last thing standing between Apocalypse and the domination of the entire world, Magneto and his rebel band of X-men must fight to save humanity most times at the cost of their own lives. Customizer side note: While making these most of these Age of Apocalypse customs I see that Marvel did not have a set character design for most of these characters as they changed from book to book. Magneto’s helmet, gloves, cape collar, boots and color scheme were changed in like every series he appeared in making it hard to capture the complete essence of the character so I opted for Andy Kubert’s design which happened to be the same design they used for the old 90’s Toy Biz AOA toy line.
