John Carpenter's Escape From New York created one of the most iconic anti-hero in movie history. The character Snake Plissken was a former highly decorated special forces soldier who soured on the US government and its fascist ways after the post-apocalyptic war which crime in the United States rose up to 400%. Snake does'nt abide to the authorities or laws and live on his own code of honor to survive. The character Snake Plissken inspired Konami video game developer Hideo Kojima to create the Metal Gear Solid series and characters Solid Snake and Big Boss.

In the movie the dystopian city of Manhattan has become a maximum security prison for all the United States criminals. Rebels crash the president plane inside the island of manhattan. Its up to the recently caught criminal sentenced to life in prison Snake Plissken to save him within 24 hours. A defiant Plissken is then injected with nano explosives in his veins that will denonate in 24 hours. Now Snake has no choice but to abide to authority and save the president or he will die within that time. Escape from New York is a cult classic and Kurt Russell played the part of Plissken perfectly.

Here what I did to make a custom Snake Plissken. I came up with a body type concept that nearly matches the actor Kurt Russell. (I DID'NT USE NECA OR MCFARLANE SNAKE PLISSKEN PARTS OR WEAPONS) to make this custom. Strictly ML, DC and Star Wars figures! Here is the recipe :)



Head:  DC 52 Aquaman with sculpted longer hair and eye patch

Torso: ML Punisher with sculpted shirt collar and tank upper chest zippers

Arms:  ML Batroc with alternate closed fist hands from Havok

Legs: Hasbro Star Wars Black Serie Kanan Jarrus with sculpted upper pants, front cargo pockets and knee pads

Boots: Hasbro Star Wars Black Serie Speed Biker with sculpted shin guards, boot straps and front toe spikes

Uzi and handgun were from cast and modified to look like in the film. Gun Holsters, wrist watch, locator and walkie talkie came from ML and DC fodder. Finally painted Snake up just like he looked on screen and took pictures under a blue florescent light bulb to capture the dark night atmosphere from the movie.
