While doing some Sunday grocery shopping I found a chewed up, beaten and battered Legacy Green Ranger on the floor of my local Target. I walked around with it in my hand, trying to find the kid who dropped him but never did. Not wanting to let good raw materials go to waste I brought him home. I then found the Black Ranger with no BAF piece on eBay for about $15. What you see is the combo of them both and a power up that only appeared in 1 episode of the US version of the show. I'm only posting this simple custom because a) I haven't seen anyone else do it yet and b) I had never taken a figure apart this much to do swaps and re-paints. It was a lot of fun and showed me just how far I've come in this little hobby since starting 5 years ago. In case a recipe is requested, I took the upper torso and biceps from the green ranger, removed the shield, painted the green to black (and repainted the gold due to some heavy wear and tear) then put it all back together. Not a drop of glue was required. Unfortunately, due to the crumbyness of this line, the ball wrists snapped on me while taking them out so I had to use Red Guardians hands and some museum mud to hold them in. Go go Power Rangers. ![]() |
