Roboto was a product of an experiment that Crisco, Windblock2, and I decided to do. The experiment was to pick a character from the Masters of the Universe gallery that none of us have done and customize that character and post it at the same time to see one another’s take on it. Being still new to posting my customs, I welcomed a chance to see how this worked out.

It was a bit harder than I thought. I admit I didn’t know much about the character even though I have the original toy sitting here in my office not five feet away. I did my research and that didn’t help since there are like 3 different origin stories.. So I took it as a sign I could pick and choose the parts I liked best.

My redesign has him more of a mechanical knight, almost a weapon himself.
The one thing I was planning on doing but didn’t was to take the gears located in the Sigma Six Ninja Bat’s chest and incorporate that into my figure, reminiscent of the original character.. and I may do that once I locate my rotary tool.

Recipe:
Body: DCSH Mongul
Head: DCSH Steel (allows helmet to be removable and when helmet is off the rivets on Steel’s head works with the rest of the body.)
Hands: Sigma Six Tunnel Rat
Shoulder pads & straps: ML Omega Red
Helmet: LCBH Wraal & foamie sheet and earphone wire
Wrist blasters: Hasbro Stealth Iron Man (the fit perfectly on the Tunnel Rat hands.)
Lance: early series ML stand, with the 3 sections assembled together, the Handle is made using the exhaust from an extra ML Legendary rider HB IronMan, part of DCSH Steel’s sledge hammer handle with some earphone wire wrapped around it to allow the figure to grip it, and the pommel is one of the screws from the afore mentioned ML stand.
Sword: Sigma Six Ninja Bat sword
War/ Combat Glider: ML HB Iron man I drilled a small hole in his back so that the glider could be both a vehicle but convert to a pair of wings.
Shin guards and loin cloth: Foamie sheets and earphone wire
