Decided to add Cap to the GIJoe scale to help tag-team some Cobra. Did most of the sculpt work with apoxie, and created the chainmail detail by cutting a coffee stir stick in half (down the length) and using the half portion to imprint the scale effects. Found that the boots were tougher to make than it looks. The tricky part was to get one to look like the other lol. The wings were cut from blister package, the star was from some weekend wedding confetti - knew it would come in handy! The "A" was painted by hand and honestly, it was completely fluked that it turned out decent. Wouldn't be able to pull off a third one quite as accurate, not after all that coffee. Cut the shield from a curved portion of a plastic ball, sculpted the inner rim for support, added elastic straps and painted in acrylic. The gloss finish really helps with that indestructible look to it. Have always liked Cap to have a curve-shaped shield rather than the basic flat one the Legends line gave 'em. The curvature goes with the action and really adds punch to Cap's dynamo!
