I whipped this one up for a "Union Jack" competition over on FB. It is just basically a re-painted ML Giant Man with a little sculpt on the mask. The paint job was pretty painful, but overall I am happy with the way it turned out.
Looks like pure class man. I like customs that look like they fit in with Hasbro's offerings and this one does perfectly. You should win that kryptonite paintbrush for sure, just look at all the attention you've got!
Thanks. Well on that Guardian, I used Blizzard. After removing the blue paint from the top half, he was already all white - that helped . I did have to paint the legs. In general when using white, I have found the key is to use many, many thin layers. If you do thin layers, you only need to wait like 5-10 minutes between layers. it won't look like you are getting any coverage for the first 5-6 layers, but eventually, it will start looking good.
See to me, that's all it ever needed to be - almost a straight up conversion of the Bucky Cap body. Even the belt on that figure was right for im. Sure, you can always change up the recipe for additonal flare but myself, I think it looks damned accurate this way. I don't envy doing the line work though. Lovely work. ~phin
Great work, Seth. I have a broken UJ I purchased a few years back with the intention of rehabbing it, but I just can't get over how small and out of scale the head is. Maybe if I find the time (and paitience to paint those lines !!! )I'll consider giving your recipe a go.

By the way, any tips on painting with white? Cause your Guardian is so clean looking!
