I love it when action movie alpha male rivals team up! A great example is the Rock and Vin Diesel in the Fast and the Furious movies. Then there's The Expendables, even though Arnie and Sly are no longer at their peak. Even Jackie Chan and Jet Li have sparred in The Forbidden Kingdom. Heck, Matt Damon had been shot by Mark Wahlberg in The Departed! I think it's a new millennium thing.

But, I'm a 90's guy! And nobody ruled the action martial arts genre like Jean Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal! I always wanted to see the kickboxer go up against the aikido master. Unfortunately, these 2 don't appear to have a common project in the near future. And time is catching up with them as well.

When this contest came up, I thought I had a great avenue to fulfill my boyhood dream of watching these 2 beat the $#!+ out of each other while at their physical best!

I therefore proudly present: John Claude Van Damme vs. Steven Seagal in Hard Target 2 Kill! JCVD is in his iconic role of Chance Boudreaux from John Woo's Hard Target. While Mr Seagal is in his famous role of Mason Storm from Hard to Kill.
