Rey (Star Wars) Custom Action Figure
Head: Force Awakens Rey (Resistance Outfit) Body: Black Series 3.75" Rey I never liked the original head of the Black Series Rey figure because instead of casting it in a flesh colored plastic mold and just painting the hair, eybrows, and eyes like any other Star Wars figure, Hasbro cast it in a dark brown plastic mold and painted the face. Well, the paint chipped off the nose on mine and I've had to retouch it a few times. So I decided to buy Rey in her Resistance Outfit and swapped heads. The head fits very well and I cut the hair strands off the side of the Black Series Rey's head and glued them on the new head. I hope hasbro fixes this problem in the future and maybe have an updated version of Rey in the Vintage Collection that's coming out in 2018 and maybe this time with soft goods cloth instead of plastic and better leg articulation. Your average 3.75 Star Wars black series figure will be $25 and the 6 inch figures will be anywhere from $35 - $40 in Australia.
I just find the six inch figures to be better. Also, I think the hasbro's black series team need to find a way to accomodate funds for better face paint. The marvel legends figures (Gamora in particular as well as other recent figures) have such nicely painted eyes and faces, it's probably because they save so much money from reusing bodies....but still.
