I present Muic, the enslaved monk from the novel Laria. A faithful servant of the gods, Muic is captured by a different race and is forced to be a translator for a cruel warlord. In the years of brutal servitude, he nearly loses his faith until he meets the two heroes of the story, Joshua and Katrina. Believing Joshua to be the hero foretold in legend, he forsakes everything to help his new friend, gladly granting his life for their freedom. I hadn't intended on making this figure at first, but the more I looked at this broken fodder figure, the more I saw Muic as described in the Laria novel. I haven't played too many newer games- my most recent gaming system is a Wii and I mainly play games with my kids, so I am not certain what game this fodder figure came from. I detached a wicked black arm-weapon from him and replaced the missing right arm with a non-articulated arm from an old Ichabod Crane figure I had in my fodder bin. I used an Iron Fist hand and used a dremel to make a hole so he can clutch the torch weapon he uses in the story. I crafted the lower part of the robe from brown vinyl electrical tape that I then painted to match the upper part of his vest/hoodie. I used tape on the arms, which were black to go with the original figure's jacket. The collar of the robe is brown felt and the ropes came with these odd gift package tags. Overall I am impressed with the figure and how close he fits to the character's description in the Laria book. It was cool to bring a secondary/supporting character to life. Thanks for looking!
