Been a while since I was active and since my latest projects are still under way and TF Last Knight just premiered. Thought I would upload some of my earlier customs that I did way back in 2009 and boy do I feel old.

To be honest, I am not really a fan of the Bay movies, saw the first one got turned off humans getting all the onscreen attention and the TF's been reduced to a supporting role when it should have been the other way. I stuck to the comic adaptation ever since mainly for the artwork. It's kind of sad when some of the comic prequels to the movie have a more in depth plot.

I am not anti Bay and to be fair, the movies are aimed at a larger and more general audience so can't blame the guy for simplifying the plot. The plus side is that they were willing to design TF in entirely new radical designs which honestly was a big risk for Hasbro since it could have easily backfired.

One of my favorite toys back then from ROTF was Breakaway and Sideswipe. While I liked the robot form, I wasn't too keen on the color scheme so I decided to go for Nemesis color scheme instead.

As you can see, the paint job is a very basic one compared to my other customs as back then I was still new to customizing. Heck, I didn't even prep or prime my figures/miniatures with a simple basecoat in those days and just hand painted the entire thing (not recommended).

I was using Humbrol enamel paints back then and it wasn't properly thinned down hence the reason why you can see very thick brush strokes especially on the wings. Doesn't help that I didn't clean the figure at all back then.
