After picking up a few of his crew mates, I decided to finally make a decent Davy Jones for my Pirates/Indiana Jones shelf. I started with the terrified-looking Zizzle fig as a base. Sliced his peg leg in half and sculpted it to stand a bit more vertical to give him some much needed height. Sliced off his claw arm and re-sculpted a new claw that's angled appropriately. I sculpted up the brow, muzzle and bandana, cut off some of the beard tentacles as it seemed way too wide and busy. I rolled out a stick of Apoxie, after letting it cure I sculpted some barnacles and seaweed on it to give him his walking stick, making him a bit more stable for standing. After a complete repaint of the whole thing, I finally have a legit Davy Jones to round out the crew of the flying Dutchman.
