Hey Gang.

Well this is my second custom coming at you from South Africa :0) Cap was one of the first superheroes I remember from my childhood. Hunting high and low I could not find one of the Marvel Legends Captain America figures anywhere in this part of the world. Thus, I decided to do what you guys do best..... I made one!

This was not one of the easiest things I've ever done. When it came to making his scale-armour, I had no clue as to what to do, so I took my Jovi Molding clay (no sculpy or Aves where I live), and made the scale-armour using a broken piece of a tooth pick, just pressing all these tiny bumps into it. It took forever lol. I'm still not too happy with the results, so please, if anyone has any ideas on how to make scale-armour, PLEASE HELP.

RECIPE: Nick Fury body from I think series 5. Bullseye head, with some wings added and a little molding clay to cover the circles on his forehead. It gave a similar effect of the ultimate cap's mask, but not quite. I sculpted the boot cuffs, the star on the chest and back, and the shield was sculpted aswell. All with the Jovi molding clay. A simple black base coat. A few layers of brilliant blue from the dala craft paint range, and permanent red acrylic paint from Heritage.

Once again, any critic or comments are most welcome. Thanks for looking gang. Until next time, 'nuff said.

awesome job on captain man...what if you took a straw and cut it in half long ways so that when you look at the end it looks like a "U". Then used that to press into the clay and make the scaled look. Does that make any sense?
