Baruk khazad! Sorry the rest of this description will have to be in Khuzdul... ahem. Well guys guess what! We've done it. There is now a Dwarf custom of all the dwarves so together we have made the company of Thorin Oakenshield so well done guys! I actually planned to do Gloin (as I said I wanted to do what I consider the most important ones first) but after accidentally making Bombur then pushing myself to get at least Bofur done I've made Bifur too. He's another amalgamation of parts: Pelenor fields Aragorn's head, Thorin Oakenshield's back of hair, Gandalf's Hobbit beard, King Aragorn's hands, Eowyn's torso and arms, Pelenor fields Aragorn's hips, Guy of Gisborne's upper leg to his shins and finally the feet from Black Suit Spiderman 3 figure with the bottom soles of Eowyn's boots. The spear is an Easterling's but I took off the top then carved and sculpted the spear head. The bar through it is from Hawkeyes bow from the Avengers figures (replaced his with a string like lotr figures so it works and gave him Aragorn's arrows as they are just black). I also made the axe in his head from that piece and then wrapped plastic around it and carved and sculpted the detail. The amouint of detail I put into this is overkill, down to the pot belly, Belt, Buckle, Teeth decorations, Hair braids, triangular details in the vambraces, the sleeve pattern, the Boots with teeth fastening, straps, the woven fingerless glove parts, the tunic and upper tunic part that I made sure I counted the amount of squares etc blah blah blah, lots of sculpting. The dagger I made out of plastic and milliput etc. I heated up a knife then made the gash in his head then sculpted around it and then the loose hair etc. I think he's come out alright, quite happy with him, I started with the top tier/ A team/ Royal line and lietenant classes and now have begun working up the other way with the Lowest class Dwarves (as Jimmy Nesbit put it). Also random not that you can see, I shaved down Dwalin's axes as I felt they were a bit thick when I first made him etc and I resculpted the words: 'grasper and keeper' in Dwarvish as I carved it too big and the axes were fat haha. but due to my skills getting better I felt like an update. Anywho, here is my rendition of Bifur.

Well if the bridge direct had better marketing skills or did what Hasbro did successfully with the Star Wars lines or if just Hasbro had taken over since toybiz was behind lotr would have made sense to give it to Hasbro to do the hobbit we might not have had to do the basic line xD

Yessss, Bifur!! I love it, man! The details are all very present and accounted for! You didn't skip a single thing. I love that you even got the fang detail on the boots. Great job. Bifur is probably the one I'm least excited to start, but you've shown that it can be done! Not easily, but can be done! The weapons are especially nice, by the way! Awesome stuff, awesome!

Thanks! Yeah his detail was anoying and tiring, but I always take my time making the details etc it's a long arduous process building up step by step but worth it if you're patient and careful. All of him is tricky yeah but he is very doable and looking at the base figure should help. It's like with my Bofur I could see the potential in the head I chose and went from there and you make changes along the way but yeah just have a rough idea and go for it is the best attitude! I'm looking forward to making Dori because he's a bit different and has some unique weaponry.

Oh if you want to give him a spear but not sure how to make one, you could just give him the citidel guard spear as they have side prongs below the spear head, just a thought.
